A great way to get many different sights into an afternoon trip is on the Aqua Bus Aqua-Liner. This boat covers many areas and includes sights such as the Osaka Castle, Nakanoshima, OBP (Osaka Business Park), and OAP (Osaka Amenity Park). Also when there are big events taking place in Osaka, such as festivals and celebrations, the boat company coincides with these by placing event boats in the water. If you desire a party, the Himawari boat is designed for this purpose as well as providing food at the restaurant for dinnertime cruises.
Things To Do in Osaka
During the summer, an excellent place to visit is Minoh Park where the Festival of Fire, Water and Light takes place. During this time the beauty of the area if heightened by the Minoh waterfall being illuminated and on the 1st of August, over 4500 candles glitter over the waterfall, the park and the roads leading to the area. In continuation of this magical mood, there is usually jazz and gospel music being played throughout the park. You can also catch one-off performances and stand-up comedy at the Minoh Onsen Spa Gardens alongside other events being held at the Minoh Park Insect Museum.
The PL Firework display is another celebration which is popular with tourists. The many varieties of shapes and lights carry last for an hour in the early nighttime. The finale is a massive spectacle where a Niagra firework blasts 8000 shots at heights of 1 km which can be seen all over southern Osaka.
Osaka has much to offer the tourists who visit the area. There are an abundance of events taking place throughout the year as well as the historical monuments which attracts tourists’ attention. As well as this, there are also a variety of parks and traditional Japanese spots enabling you to immerse yourself in Japanese culture.
