Nha Trang is Vietnam’s most famous seaside resort and is perfect for those who want to relax and recline in the sun. There are also some excellent cultural spots which enable you to delve into both the past and present Vietnam. You may also want to try the abundance of restaurant and night time activities that are on offer in order to get a true taste for the contemporary eastern lifestyle.

Beaches in Nha Trang

Tran Phu is the most popular beach within Nha Trang. It has a variety of water and beach activities for all ages such as water-skiing and diving. The Tran Phu Street runs the length of the beach and is filled with lush greenery. You will also find the popular hotels, restaurants and bars lining the street, so you can look out at the crashing waves and white sand whilst you enjoy a meal. However it is best to get to this beach early in the day as it can get quite crowded due to its popularity.

Another great place for water and beach activities is the Nha Trang Beach. You can play football or badminton and perform Tai Chi on the length of white sand. The beach is also great for long strolls as it is situated in the middle of Vietnamese forestry.

The Northern area of Nha Trang hosts some beautiful beaches that are less busy. The Hong Chong beach and Dai Lanh Beach are on islands that can be reached by boat. The surroundings of greenery and turquoise waters make each beach a tranquil and breathtaking place to visit.

Things To Do in Nha Trang

The Hon Mun is an island just off Nha Trang, and is a perfect dive site. There are many different underwater areas to visit and all contain an abundance of exotic plant life and creatures for you to explore. The Madonna Rock is also a great dive site and has such marine life as morays, lionfish and scorpion fish. The main attraction of this underwater area is the coral – this is a breathtaking experience for divers that are new to this space. There are also such dive sites as Moray Beach, Goat Rock and Electric Nose to try. The best months to dive are between January and October and there are boats that go to the dive sites each day.

You may also wish to visit some of the cultural spots that are dotted around Nha Trang. The Nha Trang Cathedral illustrates the French influence that is prevalent throughout all of Vietnam. Its location on a hill means that it has breathtaking views across the entire city.  You may also want to visit the Long Son Pagoda which opened in 1963.  It main attraction is the 79 ft. Buddha that is central within the building.

The Thap Ba Hot Springs and Mud baths are a unique attraction that draws in many visitors. You can swim in the hot and cool swimming pools, stand within the thermal waterfalls and play around with the mud which is on offer. There are also mud baths for those who are feeling a bit adventurous!
