Parks

The variety of flowers and foliage makes it a relaxing retreat and an essential sight for garden-lovers. Another excellent park is the Maria Luisa Park which is located around the Palace of san Telmo. This is the city’s largest park so is great for a great afternoon’s walk enabling you to enjoy the Spanish nature. This also has a great historical past for those wishing to learn more about the area as was built during 1929 for the Latin America Exhibitions.
Cuisine
There is a great range of Spanish cuisine on offer in Seville where the most popular and traditional way of eating is tapas. This is where there are small and varied dishes of food. This is an excellent way to eat as a family or with friends due to the friendly ambience of sharing and chatting over food. In order to get the finest food, and realise your favourite treats, you must try a great range due to vast variety on offer. There are a number of food bars throughout Seville which source food locally, this enables tourists to taste the cuisine as well as get a feel for Spanish culture. Great foods on offer are the Gazpacho and chopped pork during summer, locally sourced cod during lent and regional ham and prawn throughout the year.
Things To Do
There are a great range of activities and sights in the area but one of the most notorious Sevillian activities are the local festivals which take place annually. During the 7 days of Easter there are daily processions through the streets. This is an extremely religious ceremony, similar to its 17th century celebrations, so enables you to gain cultural insight into the area. Another great festival is the Feris de Abril which celebrates the exquisite Sevillian countryside. This celebration consists of the building of a small city complete with flickering lanterns where locals dress in traditional dress.
