Michelin Maps

Michelin road maps are updated annually and are large enough to show all the major roads, secondary roads, and even a few of the smaller back roads. They also point out the scenic roads.

These road maps are accurate, indexed and clearly marked. They contain area maps as well as enlarged insets of major cities.

The maps are printed in different languages. They contain information about driving times and distances, climate and, in the case of the map of Scandinavia, length of daylight.

Michelin road maps do have city maps included, but they may not have enough detail for some travelers. You might want to check other maps if you want coverage of a large urban area and a lot of city street detail.

The maps are made of paper and are not terribly durable. They can also be huge and difficult to fold and unfold, unless you have a lot of room to spread the map out.
