Campervan AustraliaA great way to explore Perth and enjoy its multitude of sights is by hiring a car and travelling throughout the area. This will allow you to enjoy the scenery and sunshine within the wide open spaces just outside the suburban areas.

The Swan River

Starting your journey by following the curve of Swan River will enable you to enjoy the glittering sun reflecting upon the water. Here you can also enjoy looking at the architectural wonders surrounding the University of Western Australia alongside the white expanses across the Matilda Bay. You can also enjoy spotting the many colourful yachts sailing across the water’s surface.

Going through Nedlands and Dalkeith will take you through Millionaires Row and the expensive suburb of Claremont. Here you can stretch your legs and enjoy the luxurious cafes and restaurants or visit one of the boutique shops within the area.

You can then pass through Peppermint Grove where you can recline and watch the river whilst being shaded by one of the many Peppermint trees. You can then journey up the hill to Mosman Park and enjoy view across both the city and the river.

Perth City

Starting your drive through Kings Park will allow you to enjoy the views of Perth city and its river. Make sure to leave your vehicle and enjoy a stroll along the botanic gardens and the Federation Tree Top Walkway. From here you can drive towards the Perth Convention Centre, turn left and follow signs to the Freeway South. Here you can enjoy views across the Barrack Square region and maybe enjoy an exciting jet boat ride.

Crossing over the Narrows Bridge and heading to the foreshore of the Swan River will allow you to further enjoy the glittering waterfronts and gorgeous sunshine. Here you can also witness some excellent city views where you can also stop and wonder around the attractions and shops. There are many cafes to enjoy alongside a garden to stroll around which lines the Swan River.

Sunset Coast

If you start your day at Cottesloe Beach you can enjoy the expansive strip of beach and maybe join the multitude of early morning joggers who make the most of the scenic promenade. A trip from the city beach up to the Reabold Hill will allow you to witness the city begin to come to life as you will be able to enjoy views across Perth City and all its surrounding areas along the coast.

Heading further north to Scarborough and Trigg is a great place to enjoy an afternoon meal due to the numerous restaurants and cafes. If you continue north, you will pass Sunset Coast where the protected bays and beaches are an excellent place to explore from the number of connecting boardwalks.

If you continue further north, you will pass such beautiful coastal areas as Mullaloo, Minarie and Burns Beach. Any of these would be a perfect place to end your journey and enjoy the scenes across the ocean as the sun sets.
